14 Hunley Lane

A longtime friend of mine has just listed her Augusta Road home on the market.  It isn't your typical bungalow and is also 12 years old.  A LOT has changed in design and real estate in the past decade!  However, they do have two great things going for them- proximity to downtown Greenville and walking distance from Augusta Circle Elementary.

The downtown real estate market is highly competitive.  People expect a certain level of taste.  After doing an initial walk through, I saw a vision for the home and was excited to help her with some of the areas that needed some attention.  Hally Postlewaite with Joy Real Estate listed the home.  I came in to help with lighting suggestions, staging, decorating and space planning/small renovation ideas.  This was a fun project!   Mainly because I was working with a friend, but also because the before and after was so dramatic!  Overall, they made some smart choices (focusing on key areas of the home) and spent about $8000 in cosmetic improvements.  Here are some before pictures... stay tuned for the afters.   If you are looking for a home in the Augusta Road area, this one is a true gem!

This area just didn't feel right... outdated fireplace, the table feels lost; not very functional in my opinion

Kitchen cabinets were painted a Morris Room Gray (which tied in perfectly with the existing counter tops).  New barstools elevate the overall look in the kitchen.  A sitting/entertaining area replaced the former eating area.  I love how this turned out!

The fireplace was COMPLETELY transformed (it may deserve its own blog post!)  Good bye black marble tile and akward built in cabinet.  The walls were pained a neutral Kilm Beige to finalize the overall look.
